Founded in 2012 by Jasmine Aarons, VOZ (“Voice” in Spanish) is an ethical fashion brand that empowers and celebrates women and indigenous artisans.

The essence of VOZ’s spirit and products are deeply intertwined with the Mapuche culture in southern Chile. Handmade textiles by traditional weavers, silversmiths and VOZ’s design team preserve an ancient art form and create the future of fashion.

Fair-trade employment is the core of VOZ. In partnership with Mapuche artisans, the label offers training, design leadership and financial opportunities for indigenous women. Their primary rural artisan education center is located in Temuco, Chile.

VOZ recently opened a pop-up shop in SoHo, New York City. The former art gallery was transformed into an intimate space for women’s apparel, unisex accessories and jewellery.

Inside, white-painted walls are decorated with ceremonial scarves and hand woven ponchos. Materials of ethically sourced wool, pima cotton and more are available to feel and appreciate.

Besides the warm, minimalist aesthetic of VOZ Sanctuary, the physical store provides community. Events and workshops are regularly scheduled and hosted by artists, healers and leaders for like minded people to come together virtually or safely in-person.
