Combining the old with new, German automaker Volkswagen has just unveiled the EV version of its beloved VW Type 2, which is well known for being the transportation of choice for hippies during the 60s counterculture movement.
Called ID. Buzz, the EV features an 82 kWh battery pack with 77 kWh usable capacity, enabling an estimated range of roughly 400 km (250 mi).
In regards to charging, peak charging speeds of 170 kW5 is capable of bringing the battery from 5 to 80% in 30 minutes.
As for the interior, retro colours are blended with modern and luxurious finishes. Not to mention, recycled plastic materials are used for seat coverings, mats, carpeting, and roof lining.
