As part of its stated goal of realizing a sustainable society by resolving various issues, Japanese automotive company Toyota has just unveiled a brand new electric vehicle model called bZ4X.
The bZ4X model is just one step in Toyota’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Noting the urgent need to lower global CO2 emissions due to global warming, Toyota is currently developing a full line-up of EVs with the hopes that they will contribute to popularizing the ever-expanding market for eco-friendly transportation.
Designated as a medium-segment SUV-type, bZ4X’s design emphasizes passenger comfort with notable features such as front-seat radiant foot-heating, high soundproofing glass, and more.
According to Toyota, the bZ4X is capable of 80% charge in 30 minutes with a 150 kW direct current. Drivers will also be able to change electricity equivalent to roughly 1,800 km of driving distance per year via a roof solar panel.
Toyota also says that a top-class battery capacity retention ratio will be ensured by rebuilding, recycling, and reusing.
The bZ4X is set to become available globally around mid-2022.
