Automobile company Lexus has unveiled an all-electric concept vehicle called LF-30 Electrified at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show.
Said to embody Lexus’ Electrified vision, Lexus states that the LF-30 Electrified concept is a “fundamental leap in vehicle performance, handling, control and driver enjoyment”.
The LF-30 Electrified concept vehicle’s futuristic and sleek design features an elegant and aerodynamic body, sharp headlights and rear lights, falcon doors and a windshield that extends to the back.
In addition, the opacity of the side windows can be adjusted for privacy when desired.
The cockpit design is inspired by Lexus’ fundamental human-centred philosophy and the “Tazuna” concept. Lexus describes the Tazuna concept as a single rein that can be used to achieve mutual understanding between horse and rider.
Fitted with steering controller-mounted switches and a head-up display with gesture control and AR (augmented reality) capabilities, the LF-30 Electrified allows for a high degree of control and enables a seamless driving experience.
Compared by Lexus as a “first-class seat on an airliner”, the interior is spacious and luxurious.
The rear seats utilize artificial muscle technology to mould accordingly to the occupant’s body for maximum comfort.
Most notably, the glass roof features a “SkyGate” display window that uses AR to display various information such as videos, navigation and even a starlight sky.
