Since 2017, Iceland-based design studio Plastplan has promoted the use of recycled plastic to reduce waste and help realize a more sustainable society.
To showcase the potential for recycled plastic, the studio recently released the “Everyday” collection made up of a lamp, chairs, shelves, stools, mirrors, and tables, in addition to flower pots.
Made entirely from locally-sourced recycled plastic, pieces in the “Everyday” collection were produced using two methods: recycled plastic sheets or with an industrial 3-D printer.
“With colourful and experimental designs Plastplan’s emphasizes their belief that recycled plastic holds a lot of potential,” reads a press release.
