Australian activewear brand P.E Nation has released an all-new outerwear collection for the upcoming winter.
Titled “Sustainable in Snow,” it is made up of 15 pieces, all created with the environment in mind.
The collection largely features trendy ski suits, cozy hoodies, and plush knitwear. In other words, it’s the perfect mix of technical wear and loungewear.
If you look at the materials that each piece is crafted from, there is no denying that sustainability is at the root of P.E Nation’s Sustainable in Snow collection.
Take the Alpine Ski Jacket as an example. The shell of the jacket is made from 100% recycled nylon, the lining from 100% polyester taffeta, and the insulation from recycled 3MTM Insulation 60GSM, sourced from 78% post-consumer recycled materials.
Beyond the sustainable materials, P.E Nation also hits the mark when it comes to the technical aspects of the pieces, something all avid skiers and snowboarders will truly appreciate. All jackets and snow pants in the collection are both waterproof and windproof. The jumpsuit also features built-in knee pads, heat-sealed seams, snow guards at the bottom, and adjustable shoulder straps.
Coinciding with the release of the Sustainable in Snow collection is the creation of a custom Instagram filter by P.E Nation. The filter transports customers to a snowy setting and allows for virtual fittings of select pieces from the outerwear collection before buying them. With the filter, P.E Nation hopes that the number of product returns is reduced, eliminating any unnecessary environmental impact.
