Emerging sustainable label OpéraSPORT, helmed by Danish duo Stephanie Gundelach and Awa Malina Stelter, is starting to make a name for itself in the fashion world.

Since its inception in 2019, the label has been creating and designing coveted wardrobe essentials from industrial waste that not only provides a luxurious experience for its customers but is also environmentally responsible.

To celebrate the summer season, OpéraSPORT has called upon celebrity stylist Veneda Carter for a limited-edition collaborative capsule range filled with seasonal must-haves. Having dressed the likes of Kim Kardashian, Carter’s looks involve the bold use of prints, 90’s inspired aesthetics, and a mix between tailored and oversized pieces.

The collaborative capsule perfectly encompasses both OpéraSPORT and Carter’s streetwear ethos and comprises swimwear, unisex loungewear, and accessories. Each item is swathed in vivid images of cars taken by Carter herself and has been elevated with bold hues.

Noteworthy pieces include the Taylor one-piece swimsuit (made from 100% recycled polyester) emblazoned with a blue, green and orange automobile print, the unisex bowling shirt (made from 100% recycled silk twill), and the cozy crewneck (65% organic cotton, 35% recycled polyester). The collection is rounded out with the oversized Jerome bag made from 100% recycled quilted fabric.

The recycled silk used to create the clothing in the collection comes from pre-consumer waste, while the recycled polyester is made from consumer and industrial waste such as used plastic bottles and apparel. By using these recycled materials OpéraSPORT is additionally able to lower its CO2 emissions and consume less energy during the production stage.
