Offering minimalistic and solid colour swimwear pieces that are also made from eco-friendly materials is Masarà, a Milano-born and based brand.

Striving for sustainability when creating their beachwear, Masarà only uses VITA by Carvico, a fibre made from regenerated nylon. Sources for nylon include old carpets, fishing nets, fabric scraps from mills and pre-consumer waste, and more. Thanks to its recycled property, Masarà’s swimwear can be endlessly recycled and reworked into new pieces.

In regards to packaging, paper and FSC recycled kraft mailer boxes are used. In addition, the tags used by Masarà are made from an algae-based paper called Alga Carta by Favini.

According to the beachwear brand, the name Masarà is said to mean “soaking wet” in a Milanese dialect.

“To enter masarà world means to stylishly commit to quality over quantity with a beachwear wardrobe coming in limited runs,” says Masarà. “To enjoy local or globe trotting with that je ne sais quoi allure keeping it harmless for the oceans we love.”
