Known for quality basics and the practice of paying workers an above living wage, Los Angeles Apparel has joined the wave of fashion brands that are now using its factories to make face masks in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sold in packs of 3, the 100% cotton face masks are machine washable and reusable. Featuring an adjustable nose, there are two straps rather than one for added comfort. In total, there are 22 colour and pattern variations available.

“We are not saying that our mask is perfect. We are not qualified to say whether or not it is effective. But in this moment of crisis, it seems that it is only common sense that wearing any kind of mask or face protection will help prevent transmission of the virus and possibly prevent contraction of the virus when interacting with others,” said Los Angeles Apparel.

Purchases of Los Angeles Apparel’s face masks will also go towards funding the donation of masks and other personal protective equipment to hospitals, charities and government agencies.

Considering the CDC guidelines–which states everyone should wear some sort of mask in public–more fashion companies may soon follow Los Angeles Apparel and manufacture their own face masks for sale.
