With the warmer months just around the corner, sustainable swimwear brand Lokiki, helmed by Jen Dwin and Jen DeLory, recently debuted its latest collection.
The New York City-based label’s newest range of swim essentials comprises flattering silhouettes all made with 100% recycled nylon sourced from used fishing nets.
There’s something for everyone in Lokiki’s S21 lineup, which includes everything from bandeau, bra, and plunge tops, to high-waisted bottoms and hip huggers to a variety of one pieces.
Highlights of the collection include the Margaret One Piece, which doubles as a bodysuit when paired with pants or shorts, while most of the tops don’t just look good on the beach, but also the yoga mat. Each look is designed with thoughtful fit and is additionally double layered to provide support without adding unflattering bulk.
In terms of color palette, the pieces arrive dressed in neutral hues of white, black, olive green, slate, and navy, while a bolder, geometrical print provides another eye-catching option.
Along with using sustainable materials to create its swimsuits, Lokiki also produces each item locally in NYC to reduce its carbon footprint. Each bathing suit is shipped in 100% recycled paper packaging that is 100% recyclable and uses eco-friendly inks. The label also aims to make its swim bags out of 100% compostable plant materials in the near future.
Lokiki’s S21 swimwear collection is available now via the label’s online shop. The label will donate 4% of profit towards clean water foundations and charities.
