Canadian accessories brand Herschel Supply just debuted its spring 2021 collection – and it’s entirely eco-friendly

The new Eco Collection features bags of all types, including the brand’s signature backpacks, that are made out of recycled materials.

In fact, each Herschel bag was made with between 11 and 22 post-consumer water bottles. The water bottles in question were collected, cleaned, melted, and spun, before being woven into fabric and then sewn into bags.

Herschel explicitly outlines the number of water bottles it took to create each style of bag, which include some of their most iconic like the Classic XL backpack (15 water bottles), the Heritage backpack (16 water bottles), the Little America backpack (20 water bottles), the Nova Mid-Volume backpack (14 water bottles), and the Nova Duffel (22 water bottles). Each bag is being offered in three “Eco” colourways: black, ash rose, and forest night.

Further, in addition to the exterior fabric that is 100% recycled, the body fabric, liners, labels, webbing, straps, and zipper tapes are also made from recycled materials, making this a truly circular collection for Herschel Supply.

The spring 2021 Eco Collection is available now on Herschel Supply’s website, with prices ranging from $79.99 to $139.99 CAD.
