For those living in northern climate countries such as Canada, the brutal nature of winter is all too familiar. With below-freezing temperatures, a hat, pair of gloves and a heavy jacket are considered necessities. Something that is also required is a winter boot. Without a proper boot, the cold seeps to the toes, spreading to the rest of the body.

Designed to “take charge of your winters even when they throw you a curveball”, Frank And Oak‘s Nevasca is a winter boot that is made from coffee waste, recycled rubber and plant-dyed leather.

The boot is made in Portugal by an ethical factory with transparent production methods.

Featuring water propellant properties, the outer sole, rand and toe cap is made from recycled rubber. Coffee husk is also mixed with the rubber used in the toe cap and mudguards.

Lined with recycled wool, the boot is warm and comfortable to wear.

In addition to being chrome-free, the leather is dyed with a plant-based pigment.
