For its latest collection, Italian fashion label Fiorucci found inspiration from the deep sea, mystical sea creatures, and underwater adventures.

Dubbed “Cosmic Waters,” the range comprises seasonal-appropriate items ranging from one-piece bathing suits to graphic slip dresses, crewnecks, jeans, and trousers each emblazoned with vibrant patterns, technicolour hues, and sea-inspired motifs.

To further express its deep-sea narrative, dancing starfish and seaweed intarsias are seen throughout the items, while the silk dress is adorned with the Frankenstein Mermaid graphic from the fashion house’s archives.

Additionally, the collection’s titular “Cosmic Waters” pattern, reminiscent of the sophisticated shapes and colours of sea waves, appears on a statin-style shirt and pair of pants. Elsewhere, the label’s signature Venus Angels emblem is spotlighted on the swimwear. Fiorucci’s “Cosmic Waters” collection also includes a range of accessory items such as a bright blue handbag, overnight pouch, and a bucket hat.

In a push towards sustainability, and to keep the oceans protected, Fiorucci has designed the pieces in the range from SeaCell fibre. This material is produced exclusively from raw materials such as wood and seaweed using boundary-pushing methods that help to conserve energy and resources. This is just a small contribution from the brand to further push the social and environmental development of fashion.
