Canadian startup Vegano has just launched an online marketplace and grocery delivery service for plant-based food items.

Previously, Vegano only offered a vegan meal kit service, where subscribers would select menu items each week and be sent the ingredients alongside recipe instructions. Past menu options have ranged from sticky tofu rice with roasted broccoli and braised cabbage udon to a tahini falafel pita and a red bean and walnut burger.

Items available via Vegano’s marketplace include the popular JUST plant-based eggs, Gusta plant-based sausages, Chao dairy-free cheese, Made Good granola, Loop fresh-pressed juices, and Califia nut-based beverages. You’ll also find specialty items like vegan protein powder (created in-house by Vegano), vegan pastries, such as tiramisu, cookies, and cupcakes, all baked locally by Level V Bakery in Vancouver, and vegan salad dressings and condiments from Ontario-based Mother Raw.

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Vegano currently operates in the Metro Vancouver area along with Squamish and Whistler. However, they have plans to expand to Toronto, Montreal, and Los Angeles by the end of 2021.
