Following in the footsteps of releasing their first-ever eco-friendly activewear line earlier this May, COS is continuing with its sustainability initiatives for their upcoming Fall Ready-to-Wear 2020 collection.

Launching just in time for the colder months ahead, the 40-look lineup is comprised of essential apparel pieces and a range of accessories that are perfect for those heading back into the office, or for those looking to add some smart tailored pieces into their wardrobe. The range additionally includes numerous minimalistic styles, such as pleated trousers, evening dresses that transition effortlessly from day-to-night, elegant jumpsuits, and cashmere turtlenecks, all dressed in neutral shades of cream, beige, and grey. Found throughout the apparel items are contrasting shades of electric blue, warm orange, and pine green.

Tailored items are the highlight of the collection, seeing classic suiting paired with draped skirts and asymmetrical details such as unbalanced necklines taking the spotlight. Another noteworthy aspect of the lineup includes the outwear options. Printed anoraks and a long navy blue parka are the hero items, whilst a textured mint green biker-inspired jacket also adds an unexpected twist to the range.

With sustainability at the forefront, COS’s Fall Ready-to-Wear 2020 collection utilizes environmentally friendly fabrics while paying attention to reusing, repurposing, and recycling. To create each piece, COS used responsibly-sourced fabrics and materials made from plastic waste from the ocean. Zero-waste folding techniques have also been applied to the leather bags, while recycled nylon is seen throughout in lightweight pouches. Finally, the boots are crafted with chrome-free leather and the accessories feature recycled silver and quartz.

Designed with COS’s ethos in mind, the label manages to meld the environment with both innovative and traditional techniques, ultimately creating pieces with longevity and timeless style.
