As both the fashion and footwear worlds continue to push for more sustainable means, London-based fashion brand COS, which is part of the H&M Group, has just launched its first-ever activewear line titled COS Active made from renewable and raw materials.

Launching just in time for the warmer months ahead, the 15-piece activewear collection for Spring 2020 is comprised of essential apparel pieces and a range of accessories that are perfect for your at-home workouts during the current COVID-19 quarantine. The functional items feature technical fibers created from recycled materials and sustainably sourced fabrics such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and nylon.

The versatile pieces include seamless leggings and shorts dressed in earthy tones of white, beige, olive-brown, and rich navy blue, whilst the stylish sports bras boast quick-dry and compression properties to ensure easy, dynamic movement and are available in three colorway options.

Additionally, the sweatproof T-shirts are made from high wicking fabric that helps draw moisture away from the body. Rounding out the collection is a cozy icy pink organic cotton crewneck, a navy blue zip-up jacket, and a chocolate brown parka. In terms of accessories, no-show socks and pleated gym bags are also on offer, along with swimwear.

“We’ve designed these pieces to be complementary to our collection,” said Nicole Bischofer, head of women’s wear design at COS, in a press release. “It’s something we want to offer customers alongside the women’s wear collection, as an extension of our already existing leisure collection. It’s important that we offer the complete wardrobe.”

Designed with COS’ ethos intact, the practical and stylish range can be worn at the gym as well as running errands.

COS’ sustainable activewear line ranges from $18 to $204 CAD. Shop the collection exclusively via COS’ website.
