At the 2020 Galaxy Unpacked presentation held in San Francisco, Samsung has unveiled a new foldable smartphone called Galaxy Z Flip.
The unveiling of Galaxy Z Flip follows in the footsteps of Galaxy Fold, Samsung’s very first foldable smartphone that was introduced back in 2019.
“At Samsung, we were encouraged by the excitement for the Galaxy Fold. Galaxy Z Flip is an important next step as we look to build the foldable category by bringing to consumers a new form factor, new display and most importantly, a new kind of mobile experience,” said Dr. TM Roh, president and head of mobile communications business at Samsung. “With Galaxy Z Flip’s unique foldable design and user experience, we’re redefining what a mobile device can be, and what it enables consumers to do.”
Featuring a 6.7-inch display made of Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) with Hideaway Hinge that ensures smooth folding, the Galaxy Z Flip is designed to fit in the palm of the hand.
