Although Anissa Kermiche initially studied engineering and computer science for three years, she says her ever-present rebellious temperament drove life into a new direction of jewellery studies at the Central Saint Martins and Hatton Garden, London’s jewellery district.

With the ambition of creating jewellery that reflected inspirational and empowered women, Kermiche with her newfound insight in fine jewellery launched her own brand in 2016.

Since the launch of her brand, Kermiche has developed a cult following where publications including but not limited to Vogue and Elle covering her extensively. Many influential people such as Gigi Hadid and Gwyneth Paltrow are also noted as being a fan of Kermiche’s work.

Exclusively available at Net-a-Porter, Kermiche’s recently launched jewellery collection titled Peach Parfait has pear-shaped Morganite with a peach hue as its crown jewel.

“Mentally it’s hard to work around big, big diamonds right now,” said Kermiche. “Morganite allowed me to have luxurious looking designs but without skyrocketing prices. It’s shiny and gorgeous, and depending on the light goes between peach and pink, my favourite colours. It wakes up all my senses from being a little girl and conjures up my feminine side – much more than a ruby or emerald, which I find quite aggressive.”

When compared to Kermiche’s previous collection titled Period Drame where the most expensive piece was priced at £2,230, the Peach Parfait collection has significantly higher price points with one of the top pieces going for £9,060.

“It was hard for me to think of my brand as designed for an elite,” admitted Kermiche. “I wanted to base my pieces on the average woman’s salary.”
