Known as one of the first modern hair wellness brand, Act+Acre, founded by hairstylist Helen Reavey, is once again reinventing the way the hair industry designs products.

Having combined science with wellness since its inception, Act+Acre has carved a name for itself by using a patented cold-processed method to create its products, which ensures the active ingredients stay fresh.

Now Act+Acre is ready to expand its lauded lineup of products with its latest revolutionary mineral-rich dry shampoo. The Plant-Based Dry Shampoo is an industry game-changer as it is made without the drying alcohol ingredients and chalky powders that can often leave an unappealing dandruff-like residue in the hair.

Instead of the harmful contents, Act+Acre uses a plant-based formula that relies on key ingredients like detoxifying and anti-inflammatory fulvic acid, as well as strengthening organic rice and nutrient-rich tapioca powders. Fulvic acid can prevent hair loss in addition to improving nutrient absorption while it delivers keratin to the hair to make individual strands stronger. The rice helps to beautify hair while penetrating damaged hair and repairing it from the inside out. Lastly, the tapioca powder gently cleanses the hair and soothes the scalp.

Act+Acre’s Plant-Based Dry Shampoo formulation provides over 65 minerals to the scalp to cleanse, invigorate, and start the repair process of keratin production without product build-up. Together, these ingredients not only absorb excess oil in the hair but work to detoxify and nourish the scalp by delivering minerals to the hair follicle. The dry shampoo is perfect for fine to thick hair and works well with oily scalps, while also helping to absorb odours and adding texture.

Only six ingredients make up Act+Acre’s Plant-Based Dry Shampoo’s strict formulation, with only silica, water, and an ioniplex fulvic ionic mineral complex, a hair-helper, being added to the mix. This is also something the label prides itself on, considering the product’s six ingredients is less than half the amount found in most traditional dry shampoos.

On top of that, the product is cruelty-free, vegan, organic, and non-GMO, and does not contain talc, alcohol, aerosol, aluminum, parabens, gluten, sulfates, or phthalates. Additionally, the packaging is recyclable and Leaping Bunny Certified.
