The meaninglessness of life comes infinite possibilities that give reason and purpose. With this in mind, CREATIVE STUDIO UNRAVEL based in South Korea has designed a cafe composed of minimal spaces, neutral colours and varying materials.
Located in Jongno-gu, Seoul, the yyyyynnn cafe embodies the district’s old and new elements. The raw walls retained during renovations contrast the glass and smooth grey-white floors.
The 1162 ft2 space is separated into three. Outside the cafe, there is a porch with wooden benches for resting.
The glass wall seperating the indoor from outdoor can be opened up.
Upon entering the cafe, there is a polished concrete communal table with stools.
The service counter lies at the back of the space.
Across the counter are glass top side tables and a blue cushioned sofa with additional seats.
The wall behind the furniture is clad with mirror strips to create the sense of a more expansive space.
yyyyynnn serves pastries, coffee, tea, sparking drinks and more.
