Gen Z is the latest target group for YSL Beauty’s new makeup-skincare hybrid range, which the luxury brand has dubbed “Nu.” Not only is YSL Beauty’s new collection an answer for the complexion-obsessed generation, but it’s also a solid choice for eco-conscious beauty consumers.
YSL Beauty’s inaugural “Nu” collection, which is named after the French word for “nude,” comprises five products formulated with botanical ingredients sourced from YSL Beauty’s Ourika Comunity Gardens in Morocco. Each product is packaged in sustainable and recycled materials, uses vegetal ink printing, and forgoes any plastic sleeves.
The Glow In Balm works as both a highlighter and moisturizer and is infused with light-reflecting pearls to help give off a radiant look with or without makeup. For those looking for more coverage, the Bare Look Tint, a tinted moisturizer available in 20 shades, provides buildable coverage along with keeping the skin hydrated for 24 hours.
To help calm redness and brighten dull skin, the Tone Corrector CC cream (available in golden, rosy, and green) is a perfect choice. Or opt for the Dewy Mist as a daily soothing facial spray. The Dewy Mist spray is packed full of skin-nurturing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil, and pomegranate extract. Lastly, the Blotting Lotion features salicylic acid and limonette extract to help reduce pores and leave skin with a matte finish. The lotion can either be used before or after applying makeup.
Further pushing YSL Beauty’s sustainable initiatives, all products are formulated without animal-derived or irritating ingredients such as BHT, EDTA, mineral oils, parabens, silicones, sodium lauryl sulfate, or talc.
