A variety of porcelain tablewares are displayed at Yamaka Shoten’s showroom located in Tokyo, Japan.
Founded in 1913, Yamaka Shoten is a company that specializes in the production of tablewares.
Presented at the Tokyo showroom is the eat sweet porcelain tableware collection.
Designed to “celebrate the beauty of sweets” and to have the lowest density possible, the porcelain wares are made from a blend of Amakusa (Kumamoto Prefecture) stone clay and New Zealand kaolin clay.
Notably, the porcelain wares are arranged on top of concrete surface tables with wooden legs to “bring the delicacy out”.
