Located within a shopping mall in Hangzhou, China, MIXX’s showroom is a 430 sq ft (40 sq m) space designed by SAY architects.
“Different from other brands, MIXX is known for its unique design which expresses self-acknowledgement,” said SAY architects. “From the concept of MIXX, ‘living naturally’, we proceed with the design by choosing a frosted mirror as the main material.”
“Most males are facing a major transfer on both personal and career after 20, as well as the requirement for clothing,” explained SAY architects.
“Mostly there are no clear boundaries for this transfer; therefore mirror is for one to observe oneself, we expect the semi-reflective material blurs the feeling of time as well as the space and material,” stated SAY architects. “We took away a normal program like a dressing room, cashier, etc. The clothe become the only and most attracting exhibits in the showroom.”
With a minimalistic interior, the showroom features sage coloured walls, metal clothing racks, and an island display platform.
