A Kind of Guise

German fashion brand A Kind of Guise has created a vegan leather jacket that is made from recycled grapes and vegetable oils with a 100% recycled polyester backing.

Handcrafted by small local German manufacturers, the vegan leather jacket called Bondadoso was produced in partnership with VEGEA, a biomaterial company.

“As we’re constantly trying to source innovative materials, this season we took a deep dive into exploring new technologies among the ever-evolving options for biomaterials as a more responsible alternative for animal leather,” says A Kind of Guise.

Fitted on the jacket are four metal loops on each armpit for air ventilation, in addition to adjustable straps on each side. A Kind of Guise’s “Paisley Medellin” pattern can be found on the lining.
