Created by Finnish designer Janne Kyttanen, Deceptor is a 3D printed ping pong table that combines the love for both sports and 3D printing technology.

“I can’t function without sport and art,” said Kyttanen. “I decided to combine my two great passions by creating a design which completely reinvents the sport of Ping Pong.”

Known as the “3D Guy”, Kyttanen is considered a pioneer in 3D printing design with his works that have been exhibited in galleries and museums such as MOMA, FIT, MAD and the Vitra Design Museum.

In addition to being the current creative director of 3D Systems, a manufacturer of 3D printers, Kyttanen is also the co-founder of What the Future Venture Capital (WTFVC), a VC specializing in 3D technology.

Included with the ping pong table are custom paddles and balls. Featuring both the flat and faceted side, the paddles are said to potentially enable trick shots that have never been seen before. The geodesic balls are hollow and aerodynamic, making it spin in “a new way”.
