Seeking to recreate the sense of wellbeing that is experienced when being surrounded by nature, The Nue Co. recently debuted its latest unisex fragrance supplement created in partnership with world-renowned perfumer Guillaume Flavigny.
Dubbed FOREST LUNG, the fragrance connects customers with the forest to support their physiological and psychological health, naturally reducing everyday stress and anxiety.
Inspired by the concept of “medicalizing nature,” FOREST LUNGS fuses olfactory chemistry and patented technology to replicate the smell produced in forests, known as phytoncides. Scientific research states that once inhaled, phytoncides increases the body’s immune system, thus, in turn, providing the parasympathetic (resting) nervous system a much-needed boost. This scent was achieved by balancing woody, smoky, clean resin, and tart citrus notes together.
Once again, The Nue Co. successfully blends science and natural innovation to deliver effective, yet gentle solutions. According to the label’s website, for those who were part of the scent’s testing stages, over 90 percent cited they felt less stressed and calmer within thirty minutes of use. Additionally, they felt their everyday stress and anxiety levels were lower, and the effects of the scent significantly increased over 30 days.
FOREST LUNGS spotlights ingredients that work with local initiatives worldwide and are responsibly sourced: Vetiver from Haiti, cedarwood (made from sawdust collected as a by-product of the furniture industry) from Morocco, benzoin from Cambodia, pine from Siberia, patchouli from Indonesia, and bergamot from Italy.
Each of the ingredients in FOREST LUNGS’s formula is free from toxic preservatives, additives, flavourings, and sweeteners, on top of being organic, vegan, gluten, and cruelty-free. Another noteworthy aspect is 95 percent of the materials used by The Nue Co. are infinitely recyclable.
FOREST LUNGS is available now on The Nue Co.’s website for $95 USD/$124 CAD.
