Thankyou

In a world saturated with traditional retail experiences, Thankyou, the renowned social enterprise, is set to break the mould with its innovative concept store in Melbourne, Australia (Emporium Melbourne, 313 Little Bourke Street.)

With the goal of reimagining consumerism and creating a transformative shopping experience, the Thankyou Concept Store goes beyond a typical retail setting. Collaborating with creative professionals in industrial design, concept design, and branding, Thankyou has crafted a space that captivates visitors, immerses them in its mission, and sparks a movement for positive change.

A Multisensory Journey:

The Thankyou Concept Store transcends the boundaries of traditional retail by offering a multisensory journey for visitors. Stepping into the store, visitors are immediately enveloped by a three-dimensional landscape, designed by the visionary team at PerCapita Studio.

Circular tiered forms rise gradually, forming an amphitheatre-like structure that showcases Thankyou’s product collections. This unique design allows for multiple display surfaces, creating an immersive and visually captivating experience.

The Power of Light and Space:

Lighting plays a vital role in shaping the ambiance of the Thankyou Concept Store. Boom Studios, the industrial design, build, and installation team, has meticulously crafted restrained lighting that disperses a soft glow down the amphitheatre steps.

This creates a serene and focused atmosphere, guiding visitors’ attention towards a central cylindrical light form extruding from the ceiling. The interplay between light and space accentuates the products, drawing visitors into the Thankyou narrative.

The Change Room:

Unveiling Impact: At the heart of the store lies the ‘Change Room,’ a concept that reflects Thankyou’s commitment to making a social impact. Positioned directly under the central light feature, a round table becomes a focal point for conversations, interviews, and events.

It is here that Thankyou unveils its key products and releases, inviting visitors to engage in discussions centred around the brand’s mission to end global poverty. The Change Room exemplifies the connection between Thankyou’s product offerings and their transformative social purpose.

A Futuristic Narrative:

Moving towards the rear portion of the Thankyou Concept Store, visitors enter a blacked-out space that presents a futuristic, typographic, and infographic display. Thanks to the creative genius of Marx Design, a continuous 12-meter LED screen mirrors on both ends, communicating Thankyou’s vision and mission in a visually striking manner.

This immersive visual storytelling through typography and infographics enhances the understanding of Thankyou’s purpose and inspires visitors to be part of the movement.

Secondary Galleries: Stories and Engagement:

The side areas behind the amphitheatre are dedicated to secondary galleries, where Thankyou shares the background and story of the brand. Suspended panels, soft lighting, and ambient soundscapes created by the design team provide an intimate and engaging space for visitors to explore and connect with Thankyou’s narrative. These galleries add depth and layers to the overall experience, enabling visitors to delve deeper into the brand’s journey and impact.
