Known for its stylish and eco-friendly sneakers, Barcelona-based brand SAYE has expanded its horizons in partnership with natural dye company Eyand to introduce its first-ever range of apparel items.

To aid in SAYE’s goal of becoming completely animal-free and zero-waste, all items in the unisex lineup are fully vegan. Additionally, each piece is crafted from organic cotton and ecological yarn made from waste such as plastic bottles and used clothing.

Even the process of creating these garments provides a more sustainable route than other current brands in the fashion market. SAYE and Eyand’s production method significantly reduces their carbon footprint by using 40% less water and emitting less carbon dioxide through cold dyeing. The labels are even able to avoid harmful chemicals during the natural dyeing process, which increases the life duration of each garment by up to 40%.

Four main silhouettes comprise the collection: tees, long-sleeved shirts, crewnecks, and sweatshirt polos. The cozy essentials bear no seasonality and can be worn on their own, layered, or with your favourite pieces any time of the year. In terms of colour palette and design, the pieces feature minimal branding and come dressed in earthy tones such as “Cala,” “Eucalyptus,” “Brunia,” “Orchid Film,” “Mustard,” and “Calathea.”

Each purchase arrives in eco-friendly packaging made from 100% recycled box and paper manufactured in Portugal with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) certifications. Even the mailer bag is plastic-free and fully biodegradable.

And just like it does with every purchase of its sneakers, SAYE will offset the effects of deforestation by planting two trees in partnership with We Forest, an NGO that strategically works with communities most affected by deforestation.
