In Remake’s Fashion Accountability Report 2024, Everlane has achieved the highest score out of 52 global companies, making the brand the most sustainable and ethical.

Dedicated to addressing various issues within fashion supply chains, including environmental, economic, political, and human rights concerns, Remake is a non-profit organization that publishes an annual Fashion Accountability Report, which serves as a roadmap for industry stakeholders to take action for a more equitable and resilient global apparel production system.

Scoring in the report is based on demonstrated progress rather than mere promises, with points awarded for measurable actions towards specific goals such as carbon reduction targets. Evaluation of fashion companies covers a wide range of criteria, including workplace equity, wages for workers, environmental responsibility, and animal welfare standards

Since its founding, Everlane has championed its sustainability journey, focusing on materials, waste reduction, human rights, and environmental impact within its supply chain. Remake’s report highlights Everlane’s investments, equitable operations, support for legislation like the California Climate Bills and the FABRIC Act, transparency in unionization rates, and commitment to long-term Net-Zero targets.

“We welcome the opportunity to work with third parties like Remake that are highlighting important issues in the fashion industry and pushing us all to greater levels of progress and transparency through their assessment. We believe that collective action and key legislation is necessary to create lasting impact, and look forward to the work ahead,” says Katina Boutis, Director of Sustainability at Everlane.
While Everlane ranked best in Remake’s Fashion Accountability Report, other brands such as Fashion Nova, Temu, and SKIMS ranked dead last, achieving a score of 0.
