Revolve, one of the largest global fashion retailers has paired up with Recover, the leading producer of recycled cotton fibre, to launch a sustainable denim line alongside fashion brand Lovers and Friends

The line features 14 styles of jeans that are made from a minimum of 15% recycled cotton materials taken from discarded and post-consumer denim. You may have seen some of the chic styles on influencers such as Vale Genta, and Ally Rossel, both of whom share the importance of buying sustainable clothing in their post about this partnership.

More and more brands are taking environmental-friendly approaches to their collections, but the Revolve, Recover, and Lovers and Friends partnership introduces a new element to the sustainable fashion industry.

With each pair of jeans, customers will be able to see how much of an environmental impact they are making with the simple scan of a QR code. The code will show consumers that their denim purchase is saving 1.356 litres of water and equivocate that saving to a daily activity, such as showering, which btw the saving equivalent is equal to 23 showers!

Denim production is one of the world’s most harmful polluters so it’s great to see larger brands join the sustainability movement. The partnership between Revolve, Recover, and Lovers and Friends is a big step forward in the right direction of showing consumers how sustainability in the fashion industry is imperative.

Pieces in the collection range from $128-$158 and you can find the cute jeans on Revolve’s website.
