In an effort to join an industry-wide push for sustainability, Prada has released their Pre-Fall 2021 collection, which includes a line of organic denim pieces.

The brand’s new Pre-Fall 2021 organic denim collection builds off the success of their Re-Nylon apparel line that debuted last fall and featured items made entirely of regenerated nylon.

100% Global Organic Textile Standard cotton that was grown and harvested on an organic farm is used in the collection. Further, the farm in question does not use any fertilizers or pesticides and employs practices, such as water-saving techniques, to minimize their environmental impact.

With the environment in mind at all levels of the supply chain, Prada also chose to employ a water-saving technique during the dyeing process. The process is called Acquasave and involves dyeing the denim using a below-average amount of water, which they estimated saved roughly 10 litres of water per metre of fabric.

Womenswear includes everything from a casual playsuit and shirt dress to a matching bra top and wide legged jeans that would feel right at home on Bella Hadid. Meanwhile, the menswear features a pair of bermuda shorts and two denim shirts, one short-sleeved and one long-sleeved.
