COVID-19 has wreaked havoc worldwide, and everyone’s life is in jeopardy—even innocent children. Ever since schools were shut down, it has been a difficult journey for kids, not only in terms of education and learning but also with respect to food.
Young girls and boys, who once relied on their school’s daily meals for nourishment, found themselves in deprivation and in hunger. The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) recognized this stumbling block and swiftly introduced alternative measures wherein students were provided with take-home rations, cash or food vouchers and even food delivery at home. Another measure they recently announced is a collaboration with American brand Michael Kors on designing a special, limited edition of the Love T-shirt.
The Watch Hunger Stop COVID-19 Relief Unisex T-Shirt is 100% cotton and features the word “Love” in an elegant blue typography. Michael Kors will donate 100 percent of the profits for every T-shirt sold to children in need of food through the WFP.
Priced at $48 CAD (or the cost of a 100 meals), the T-shirt is a quintessential pick for your summer wardrobe and can be effortlessly styled with a pair of jeans, trousers, shorts or even a skirt. What’s more, if you post a selfie on your public social media account in your T-shirt and tag #watchhungerstop, Michael Kors will donate another 100 meals to children in need of vital nutrition during these trying times.
Micheal Kors also has the T-shirts in the colours white, black, and red.
