Recently, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex announced that she invested an undisclosed amount into Clevr Blends, a company specializing in instant oat milk lattes. When asked why, Meghan expressed her sincere love for their products, as well as the wish to support woman entrepreneurs like Hannah Mendoza, Clevr Blends’ co-founder and CEO.

“This investment is in support of a passionate female entrepreneur who prioritizes building community alongside her business,” Meghan said to Fortune. “I’m proud to invest in Hannah’s commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love and [that] has a holistic approach to wellness. I believe in her, and I believe in her company.”

“Entrepreneurs need funding, but they also need advisers who care deeply about what they are building,” Mendoza told Fortune. “I’m grateful to have found both in the Duchess of Sussex. Her passion for what we’re creating is palpable, and I couldn’t imagine a more aligned partnership. We’re excited for the road ahead.”

Said to be “upgraded with brain-boosting, mood-lifting, mind-cleansing medicinals” such as mushrooms and adaptogens, Clevr Brands’ instant oat milk comes in four flavours: chai, matcha, coffee and golden.

The Californian brand is committed to donating 1% of its profits to local food justice initiatives. Clevr Blends also aims to be environmentally friendly, with its use of exclusively organic or non-GMO ingredients, as well as recycled and recyclable packaging. The ingredients are sourced from smaller suppliers or those with transparent supply chains where possible.

Clevr Blends’ products can be ordered online from their website, with international shipping set to become available sometime in 2021.
