Recently, M Missoni, an Italian fashion brand known for its strive for sustainability and social responsibility, collaborated with Save the Duck, the world’s first B Corp outerwear specialist. Together, they created a limited edition, genderless capsule collection consisting of a padded down jacket and an anorak.
Made of a sustainable and waterproof polyester called CATY and padded with PLUMTECH, a synthetic down made from recycled polyester, the anorak sports a check print inspired by the 1990s that comes straight from Missoni’s archives.
Featuring a fiery colour blocking design made up of vivid orange and yellow hues, the padded down jacket is made of GIGA, a sustainable and lightweight nylon. It is also padded with PLUMTECH.
The padded down jacket and anorak are cruelty-free, ethically made, bold, and statement pieces for eco-friendly urbanites.
“I’m thrilled to have partnered with Save The Duck for this collection. Both M Missoni and Save the Duck are committed to sustainability initiatives. Ethical and sustainable fashion is increasingly becoming the priority in the fashion industry. I’ve always given support and recognized the importance of sustainability principles, so it’s really exciting to be part of this movement,” shared Margherita Maccapani Missoni, creative director of M Missoni in a press release. “And while each and every one of us must do our part, there’s a beauty in collaborating with like minded companies and people who appreciate and respect similar values. There’s power in numbers.”
Nicolas Bargi, CEO of Save the Duck, echoed this sentiment, saying, “We share a common vision and an idea of fashion that will no doubt become sustainable for an increasing number of people. When tradition, craftsmanship, and design meet mother nature, then we can be sure to leave a statement that will be collected by generations to come. The journey towards sustainability is a shared project that integrates each day more into our DNA and I am confident M Missoni will be a reliable and inspiring travel companion.”
M Missoni has always represented the more fun, playful, and free-spirited side of the Missoni fashion house and this genderless collection is further evidence of that. Complemented by Save the Duck’s sports-inspired, eco-friendly approach to fashion, the collaboration is a must-shop for sustainable fashion lovers everywhere.
