New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde recently debuted her new album Solar Power. And for the release of her third studio album, it appears the Kiwi singer took a more sustainable approach to her music.

Lorde decided that the album, which was released on August 20, would forgo traditional plastic CDs. Even better, the new merchandise line that came out to promote Solar Power is made out of recycled waste.

To launch her new merch line, Lorde teamed up with Everybody.World, a sustainable fashion brand known for creating fabric out of post-industrial cotton waste sourced from yarn factories. Everybody.World obtains the recycled materials and then turns them into biodegradable fabric like cotton jersey and fleece. This circular manufacturing process ensures minimal waste and water usage.

Lorde’s new ethically-minded and environmentally-conscious merchandise consists of gender-neutral pieces like hoodies, long and short-sleeved t-shirts, bucket hats, tote bags, baseball caps, and several other accessories, such as reusable water bottles, zippo lighters, and even an ashtray.

Beyond using 100% recycled cotton to bring her new merch line to life, the collection was also responsibly manufactured locally in the United States (South Los Angeles to be specific) and all pieces are 99.5% biodegradable (everything but the tags).
