The team behind the popular self-cleaning water bottle LARQ has launched a new Kickstarter for their latest product: the LARQ Bottle PureVis 2. At the time of publishing, the Kickstarter project has raised over $740,000 from 5,434 backers, vastly exceeding its initial goal of $30,000.
Built upon the groundbreaking features of its predecessor, the original LARQ Bottle PureVis, the new iteration has significant enhancements that make it a more comprehensive and user-friendly hydration solution. Here’s how the new version stands out:
Enhanced Filtration and Purification
Two-Stage Filtration: Unlike the original LARQ Bottle PureVis, which primarily focused on UV-C purification, the PureVis 2 incorporates a two-stage filtration system. The addition of Nano Zero filters, tested to NSF 42 & 53 standards, effectively removes harmful contaminants such as chlorine and PFOA/PFOS, enhancing the taste and safety of the water.
Advanced UV-C Technology: The PureVis™ UV-C light technology remains a core feature, but its implementation in the PureVis 2 is more refined. It continues to eliminate up to 99.9999% of bio-contaminants, including E. coli and Salmonella, ensuring that your water is not only filtered but also purified at the microbial level.
Smart Hydration Tracking
LARQ App Integration: The PureVis 2 introduces robust app integration, allowing users to set hydration goals, receive customized reminders, and gain insights into their drinking habits. This app integration was not available in the original version, making hydration tracking more accessible and effective.
Apple Health Integration: The new bottle also integrates with Apple Health, providing a seamless way to monitor overall wellness and hydration levels, a feature absent in the first iteration.
Improved Self-Cleaning Functionality
Automatic Activation: While the original PureVis required manual activation for its self-cleaning UV-C light, the PureVis 2 improves this feature by automatically activating the PureVis™ technology every two hours. This automatic activation ensures the bottle remains clean and odor-free with minimal user intervention.
Design and Usability Enhancements
Ergonomic Design: The LARQ Bottle PureVis 2 features a more ergonomic design, making it easier to carry and use. It is available in multiple sizes (23oz / 680ml and 34oz / 1L) and comes with improved weight distribution for better portability.
User-Friendly Interface: The new design includes a user-friendly interface with simple button controls for activating different modes (Normal Mode and Adventure Mode). This makes the bottle more intuitive and easy to use compared to its predecessor.

Eco-Friendly Materials: Both versions prioritize sustainability, but the PureVis 2 takes it a step further by emphasizing the use of eco-friendly materials and reducing the reliance on single-use plastics. This aligns with LARQ’s mission to promote sustainable living.

Improved Battery Capacity: The PureVis 2 boasts an improved battery capacity (700mAh) compared to the original, ensuring longer usage between charges. The USB-C charging port remains for quick and convenient charging.
