French fashion brand Lacoste recently released an eco-friendly version of their bestselling polo.
The shirt dubbed Loop Polo is made of a mix of virgin cotton and recycled cotton, the latter sourced from surplus Lacoste polos.
Created with a closed-loop process using unsold polos that came in a variety of colours and prints, the result is that no two Loop Polos are the same, with each featuring a speckled look owing to the myriad of polos that created them.
The Loop Polo design does incorporate the classic features that adorned the originals, such as short sleeves, a two-button neckline, a tonal crocodile logo, and the brand’s signature “petit piqué” texture.
According to Lacoste, the production of Loop Polo was also more water-efficient than past collections, which is part of the French brand’s newfound commitment towards utilizing low environmental impact practices.
Currently, the Loop Polo comes in two colourways: Grey Chine and Blue Chine. It is available now on Lacoste’s website and retails for $135 USD.
