New Zealand-based Jasmin Sparrow is the latest sustainable jewellery brand that should be on your radar.
The emerging label, founded by designer Jasmin Scott, is making waves on the fashion market for its intricate and sculptural offerings.
Each piece in Jasmin Sparrow’s collection is delicately crafted from sustainable materials by hand and comprises made-to-order bralettes and headwear to gold-plated silver necklaces and earrings.
The label only uses ethically sourced gemstones that originate from mines located in different parts of the world, and recycled metals, such as silver, when crafting its environmentally conscious jewellery. Even the pearls are responsibly cultivated in Thailand, Japan, and China. Additionally, Jasmin Sparrow’s gold plating process takes place locally in New Zealand.
Standout pieces amongst Jasmin Sparrow’s timeless and refined designs include the 18-carat gold-plated silver Marea Collar, the Seme Small Hoops, which places irregular sea pearls at the centre of attention, and finally the Dama Bralette and Tessere Cap, both of which have been beaded by hand with pearls using a bias latticework technique. For those looking for a bit of contrast, weighted black onyx and smoky quartz stones set into crisp rows are also on offer.
