Know for its contemporary fine jewellery and sought-after nail polish range, Los Angeles-based J. Hannah is now expanding its offerings with an eyewear collection.

With the Spring/Summer 2021 season just around the corner, the new lineup of cat eye-inspired sunglasses arrives at the perfect time. Named Freyja (inspired by Freya, the “cat goddess” of love, beauty, and magic with a renowned fondness of fine luxury and felines) the must-have accessory is not only a stylish addition to any outfit but is also eco-friendly.

Crafted from biodegradable, compostable cellulose acetate, J. Hannah’s sunglasses won’t harm the environment compared to their plastic counterparts. This special cellulose acetate is produced mostly from plant-derived, renewable materials, and plasticizers. Moreover, each pair of sunglasses is handmade locally in Los Angeles to reduce the label’s carbon footprint.

J. Hannah’s debut Freyja range includes three colourways such as the tortoiseshell-inspired “Calico;” the luxurious white-marbled pattern “Akoya,” and an essential inky black “Onyx.” Each pair is equipped with 400 UV-protected tinted brown lenses, along with metal details at the temple. Additionally, each option features premium Italian hinges, anti-slip screws, and nickel silver hardware.

J. Hannah’s Freyja sunglasses range is now available exclusively online. Each pair is priced at $295 USD/$373 CAD.
