A brand new electric vehicle company based in Norway called Fresco Motors is now on the block and they have just unveiled its first all-electric vehicle model.
Simply named Fresco XL, the all-wheel-drive EV with a seating capacity of eight is said to be capable of a range of 1000 km on a single charge.
“The all-electric Fresco XL will come with an extra-large battery pack,” says Adrian Kristofer Locklindh, COO of Fresco. “As it will be double stacked, it will ensure approx. 1000 km of driving range per charge.”
To develop Fresco XL, Fresco has partnered with AKKA Technologies, a company specializing in engineering consulting and R&D services.
“In accordance with our lean and asset-light vehicle development strategy, we are beyond excited to work with AKKA Technologies,” shares Espen Kvalvik, CEO of Fresco. “Their vast experience and expertise will ensure a high level of vehicle quality, and enable us to get our vehicles out on the roads more quickly.”
“The development of any physical product is a lot more taxing than a fully digital one. Especially something so advanced as an electric car,” adds Jakob Kirsebom Lanto, CFO of Fresco. “Therefore, we have chosen to team up with a well-respected international vehicle development firm. We have chosen this strategy as we wish to keep being lean and asset-light for as long as possible.”
