As a Certified B Corporation, Frank And Oak is no stranger when it comes to environmental consciousness. Since its founding back in 2012 by Ethan Song and Hicham Ratnani, the Canadian clothing brand has consistently demonstrated its commitment to challenging the fashion industry’s notorious pollution levels by ethically and sustainably creating products with recycled and organic materials.
Frank And Oak’s latest release is a sneaker called Drift. Created in an ethically operated factory in Portugal, Drift is designed as a slow fashion piece for a contemporary and fast-paced life.
Unlike conventional sneaker outsoles that are made from plastic, Drift’s outsoles are made from natural and recycled rubber. A cork insole with foam adds a layer of comfort, breathability and durability.
The upper is made from chrome-free leather that is dyed with plant-based pigments while the lining is made from recycled cotton. Hidden underneath are eyelets made from recycled aluminum cans where organic and bleach-free cotton laces pass through.
“Why stay grounded when you can drift with purpose. Lift off in our fully sustainable minimal sneaker that is light on the planet and your conscience,” said Frank And Oak.
