Automotive brand CUPRA has unveiled the concept for their very first all-electric road vehicle called Tavascan.
“With the presentation of the all-electric CUPRA Tavascan concept, we are translating this vision into the streets and proving that performance can be electrified,” said CUPRA CEO Wayne Griffiths.
Based on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, the Tavascan features a 77kWh lithium-ion battery pack for a max range of 450 km and an acceleration of 100km/h in 6.5 seconds. Two motors are fitted in each axle for a combined 225kW of power.
Described by CUPRA as dynamic, the exterior is sleek with an emphasis on performance and aerodynamics. The vehicle is painted in liquid metal to bring out the carbon fibre structure and copper details.
The interior is a combination of comfort and luxurious. Occupants will be able to enjoy a cabin that “provides the perfect balance between driver orientation and passenger comfort”.
