Camira

For years, Camira has thrived in the textile industry. Their flexible business model has allowed them to offer a wide variety of products and services. However, they have never taken this for granted.

Camira’s website states that they believe in “fabrics that have a purpose – to inspire, to challenge, to become loved.” In fulfilling this belief, Camira created Oceanic, a fabric constructed from post-consumer recycled plastic and SEAQUAL, a yarn made from marine plastic.

“For every 4 metres of Oceanic fabric sold, 1 kg of waste is removed from the ocean,” says Camira. “One metre of fabric equates to 26 plastic bottles.”

Oceanic is recommended for use in furniture upholstery. Most notably, Oceanic fabric is featured in Morgan Furniture’s Scandinavian-inspired Oslo dining and lounge chairs. Both Camira and Morgan Furniture share a mind for sustainability, making this a perfect match.
