Plus is the latest eco-friendly personal care brand aiming to shake up the sustainable and clean beauty industry with its innovative zero-waste packaging.

Helmed by Julie Schott and Brian Bordainick, Plus recently debuted its innovative no-bottle, no-water, zero-waste body wash that can fully dissolve in the shower and leave no trace behind.

By eliminating the use of bottles, Plus was able to conceive a boundary-pushing body wash alternative that arrives in the form of dehydrated paper sheets.

Considering traditional body wash is composed mainly of water, Plus aims to reduce both water waste and the use of plastic bottles with its new product. Completely devoid of any water, their product also uses 38% less water in the manufacturing process. Currently, around 42.1 billion bottles are used for liquid-based beauty and health care products, with most of the packaging, such as the plastic pumps, ending up in landfills and oceans.

The 100% dissolvable sheets are made with wood pulp sourced from FSC forests, while the ink is non-toxic and bio-renewable. The packaging sachets are also fully dissolvable in water and are shipped to customers in a compostable zippered pouch and mailer.

To activate the single-use cleaner, simply run the wood pulp sheet under running water. The sheet will begin to melt when mixed with water to form a creamy rich lather filled with nourishing and skin-loving ingredients such as eucalyptus leaf oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter, ferulic acid, and aloe leaf.

The body wash is also pH-balanced, vegan, cruelty-free, Leaping Bunny certified, and meets Credo Beauty standards. On top of that, Plus doesn’t use any fillers, sulfates, parabens, or SLS and SLES surfactants in its formulas, which can cause allergies and skin irritations.

In terms of scent, the body wash is available in three gender-neutral options: Summer, a mix of neroli, orange, and lemon; Waves infused with coconut, sea salt, and jasmine; and finally an unscented Cloud variant.
