Rihanna first debuted her Fenty line in 2017 with Fenty Beauty, including an impressive line of 40 foundation shades. She created a truly inclusive makeup line highlighting the diversity that set a standard for the beauty industry to do better.

Following this, she created her own lingerie line called Savage X Fenty in 2018 and hosted a runway show during New York Fashion Week, celebrating sexuality in a multitude of ways that broke fashion standards. In 2019, Fenty launched as a luxury fashion house under LVMH. This put Fenty side by side with LVMH’s other brands such as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Fendi and Givenchy.

With an official launch date of July 31, the Fenty line will expand into skincare. Rihanna has kept the launch of her new brand quite secretive, as she did when announcing Fenty Beauty. So far, is it known that Fenty Skin will cover “medicated and non-medicated skin care preparations and soaps, body care kits comprising non-medicated body care preparations, and skincare product accessories.”

The first Fenty Skin products have also been recently announced, which include a cleanser, toner and moisturizer.

It is said that the packaging of Fenty Skin products will be environmentally friendly and “kind to our planet!!”

With the skincare business market projected to grow 189.3 billion US dollars by 2025, Fenty Skin’s launch will continue to disrupt the beauty industry towards global inclusivity.
