Alongside the launch of their first-ever e-commerce website, emerging womenswear brand Beaufille has released a collection made entirely out of deadstock and recycled materials.
The new line features ready-to-wear women’s fashion, jewellery, and home objects.
To bring Beaufille’s recycled collection to life, the designers behind the Canada-based label, sisters Chloé and Parris Gordon, experimented with everything from leftover yardage and fabric scraps to trims and metal. The result? Innovative and environmentally-friendly pieces.
Standout items in the collection include the Oyster Bag, a shoulder bag made by embroidering leftover cotton yarn between water-soluble bags, and the Collage Dress, a virgin wool blend mini dress that was designed freehand, by drawing and cutting abstract shapes by hand, and then assembling them like a collage to add texture.
Further, all of the home decor pieces in the collection, which include unique items like made-to-order decorative flowers and a gold candlestick holder, were all derived from some of the brand’s past jewellery designs and made out of recycled studio brass.
