Easy clothing, easy living, and easy on the planet is Back Beat Co.’s motto.
Founded in 2015 by Isadora Alvarez, Back Beat Co. embraces the California cool-girl aesthetic with a sustainable twist. That is why all pieces made by the Los Angeles-based brand are eco-friendly, using low impact fabrics such as recycled cotton, organic cotton, Tencel, and their absolute favourite, hemp.
Further, the fashion brand’s sustainability mission extends beyond the fabrics to include production. Each item of clothing is ethically made in Los Angeles and India. Most of the factories they work with are small, family-owned operations and all factories are personally vetted by Alvarez. Plus, 90% of their knit fabrics are knitted locally at a mill in Los Angeles.
Customers will find plenty of easy and wearable yet trendy styles, like the Everyday Jumpsuit made out of hemp, the tie-dye Biker Shorts made out of organic cotton, the button-up Slip Top made from Tencel, or the recycled cotton Puff Sleeve Sweatshirt.
It is Back Beat Co.’s ability to combine sustainability, style, and affordability (pieces range anywhere from $30 to $200 USD) that keeps people coming back.
In addition, all of Back Beat Co.’s packaging is either recyclable or compostable. All of their mailers are made out of recycled paper and are recyclable, and their bags are fully compostable.
