Helsinki-based, female-founded bag company ASK Scandinavia has released two new products made from ECONYL regenerated nylon as part of its Ocean collection.

Manufactured by Aquafil Global, ECONYL is a yarn derived from nylon waste such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, industrial plastic, and pre-consumer waste. It can be recycled, recreated and remoulded infinitely.

The first new bag is Emma Tote, a large carry-all tote that features a sustainably sourced snap button and stamped brand logo on vegan leather.

“Highly requested by our customers, we are proud to present that there is a brand new sustainable tote bag in town!” says ASK Scandinavia. “Emma is a multipurpose and versatile tote that is designed to be used in the city or on weekend trips wherever you will go. This tote is great for day-to-day use, but also for working out, and traveling.”

The second new bag is Olive Pouch, a wash bag intended for toiletry or cosmetics.

“With the same thoughtful, multifunctional and minimal design, it’s our Olivia Pouch sized up — carries all your small and bigger items, and perfect for keeping your hair and body essentials,” reads ASK Scandinavia’s press release.

Both bags are available for preorder on ASK Scandinavia’s website and are set to be shipped in June.
