Canadian beauty brand Apprenti Ôr’ganik is all about natural ingredients and sustainable living. Their line of therapeutic body and skincare products features ultra-luxurious cleansers, moisturizers, soaps, and more, each of which entirely is made out of natural and organic ingredients.
Apprenti Ôr’ganik was founded in Montreal and is run by a “one-woman show” by the name of Alexe, a businesswoman whose personal goal is to help people develop a healthier routine and lifestyle.
Before founding Apprenti Ôr’ganik, Alexe had been creating natural skincare products for herself, along with her husband and friends, from the comfort of her kitchen. Although she never planned to create a business out of it, more and more friends began asking her to make products for them, so eventually she decided to found Apprenti Ôr’ganik, a place where she could sell her natural skincare creations and spread awareness about eco-friendly living.
Alexe sees it as her mission to educate those around her about the harmful chemicals and artificial ingredients that are so often present in the beauty industry. By creating a line of sustainable, eco-friendly, and natural skincare products, she hopes to promote a healthy, ecological lifestyle amongst her customers.
“It’s my little personal quest to get people to reconnect with the real and the natural. By realizing what we eat and put on our bodies on a daily basis, we slowly open a door to a healthier, happier version of ourselves,” shares Alexe.
Each Apprenti Ôr’ganik product is handcrafted and uses natural actives only. You won’t find one single filler in any of the Montreal brand’s luxury body or skincare products. Instead, each ingredient is chosen for its specific therapeutic benefits. For example, customers will notice the inclusion of essential oils in several items.
According to founder Alexe, these essential oils were selected first and foremost for the various properties they contain, not for their scent. The scent itself is entirely secondary. So while these essential oils happen to provide a natural fragrance to products, they always play a larger, more important role within the product formula. Black pepper seed oil is one such essential oil that was chosen for its warming effect on the body, while bergamot essential oil is used for its natural astringent properties.
Further, Apprenti Ôr’ganik customers can rest easy knowing that every single product is formulated without synthetic ingredients, parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, petroleum, and mineral oil. Instead, each skincare product is made only with natural ingredients, food-grade vegetable oils, therapeutic grade steam distilled essential oils, and many certified organic ingredients. “From the earth to your skin” is Apprenti Ôr’ganik’s motto and they take it very seriously. In fact, several of their products, like their Elixir facial oil or soap bars, contain more than 90% certified organic ingredients.
The brand is also cruelty-free, meaning that instead of testing on animals they test exclusively on “happy and consenting humans.”
Ultimately, Apprenti Ôr’ganik is guided by nature. “Nature has a lot to offer and we believe it is important to reconnect, body and soul, with it,” reads the brand’s website.
