Vegan and chicken lovers unite! Since January 10, every single KFC store located in the U.S. has begun offerings its customers Beyond Meat Chicken for a limited time.
Said to be “packed with delicious flavor” and “finger lickin’ good,” the vegan chicken is made exclusively for KFC by plant-based meat company Beyond Meat.
This news follows the success of KFC’s first launch of Beyond Fried Chicken back in August 2019 as a part of a limited-run test in Atlanta. According to the fast-food company, the test store sold out in five hours.
“The mission from day one was simple – make the world-famous Kentucky Fried Chicken from plants,” says Kevin Hochman, president of KFC U.S. “And now over two years later we can say, ‘mission accomplished.’”
“We couldn’t be prouder to partner with KFC to offer a best-in-class product that not only delivers the delicious experience consumers expect from this iconic chain, but also provides the added benefits of plant-based meat,” says Ethan Brown, founder and CEO, Beyond Meat. “We are truly thrilled to make it available to consumers nationwide.”
